Eyelash extensions are different to false or fake eyelashes in that they are applied to one lash at a time as opposed to fake eyelashes which come as a complete set of bonded eyelashes and are attached in whole to the eyelid. Application of individual eyelashes is generally painless however it can take from 1 to 2 hours to apply the eyelashes dependent on how many you wish applied. A lash extensionist carefully applies the "lash" with tweezers and a bonding agent (commonly cyanoacrylate adhesive). It is advisable not to allow water to touch your new eyelashes for at least 6 hours.
